The Black Dahlia was named for a woman in the early 40s, I believe, and she was an inspiring actress, flawlessly beautiful with dark hair and yet she was murdered mysteriously by an unknown person. The mystery still lingers and remains unsolved to this day.

Reply:I have been fascinated by this story for years!!! I have read the book several times. I have wondered if it could be one of her male admirers that found out her physical deformity, and killed her in a fit of rage? You will only know what I am speaking about if you are familiar with the book. =)
