What did you think of the movie the black dahlia?

I remember the actual case. Both fascinating and heartbreaking.





The film does have some deviations from the truth:





lesbianism, porn, sex for money, and the reporters





1. Elizabeth Short (she did not have a middle name..another deviation) was not a whore, or doing porn or engaging in lesbianism.





2. The reporters had already taken photos of the body ...and sent them into their editors ...before the scene was declared off limits. So much for the police trying to hide the fact her body was mutilated (it was a different world then .. the media did not thrive on human sorrow).

Reply:Should have been a great film. The screenwriting and the editing left the movie floundering for direction and purpose of story. Too bad, the acting was rather good considering what they had to work with.
