Why would someone be interested in reading The Black Dahlia by James Ellroy? (newer version)?

I read it because I had read his 'L.A. Confidential' and seen the movie (great book, great movie - killer cast). Since I had liked that one so much, I bought 'The Black Dahlia'.

Why would someone be interested in reading The Black Dahlia by James Ellroy? (newer version)?
What exactly is in the "newer version"? I checked Amazon, and there's no mention of anything other than a new afterward by Ellroy. It's a great book--got me hooked on Ellroy, and I don't read much in the way of crime/mystery fiction.
Reply:It's a fascinating case. I've read at least 3 books on the case over the past 20 years and I'd still read another one.
Reply:To see if there's as much nudity in the book as there was in the movie.

Thanks for asking!
Reply:oh lets see...cause they like that genre of story?they have a morbid fascination?they live in hollywood and they want to be able to speak informativly on the subject?they found the book in a hospital waiting room?theyre related to the charactors involved?
