Who do you think was the Black Dahlia killer?

Unfortunately i have never heard of this murder but i searched it on wikipedia and it said a suspect was Elizabeth Short

Reply:The police ran out of clues except for one very important detail; the killer (or killers) kept her purse and it's contents.





This could be considered an act of trophy collecting. This in turn would suggest a serial killer. Perhaps someone who has killed after Elizabeth's murder but refined the method and displaying of the body?





I personally think the strongest evidence points to someone who had a lot of time and privacy. They would have needed the facilities to cut her in half and deal with the resulting blood and viscera. Perhaps a mortuary worker? Someone who knew how to torture and then had the time and leisure to dump the body and tease the police later on.





Random killers don't usually keep anything that would tie them to their crime. This person(s) took time and pleasure in killing Elizabeth and kept her belongings as a reminder.





The movie was made from the Ellroy book which was a complete work of fiction BTW.





We will never know who killed her now. Not unless someone finds the missing items and can produce blood stains for DNA work.

Reply:The last I heard was that it was a surgeon who (ironically) was the father of a man who spent his entire career as a detective on the Los Angeles Police Department and worked on cold case files.
