Did that really happen, or is that based (loosely) on a true story? I heard the add and kinda got freaked out thinking about it? does anyone know the stats on this movie, whats true and whats hollywood-ized...?
Also has anyone seen hollywoodland? whats your rating?
The Black Dahlia??
the movie is based on the story of Elizabeth Short, (she was called the black dahlia because the movie 'blue dahlia was popular at the time and elizabeth, who was beautiful, always wore black) who was slaughtered in the 40's by an unknown assailant--who still hasn't been caught. She was cut in half and her mouth slashed from ear to ear. You can read about her totally indepth here:

Reply:I know its based on a true story. I saw the cocumentary on HBO or court tv last year. She was killed in a residental area. Cut up or something. If I find somemore info I will post it.
