Dahlia's How to plant them ?
When planting your dahlias lay horizontal with the eye up. The eye is the dark circular growth at the top of the tuber. The little growths are baby tubers in which you may leave or cut off and replant to get new plants.
Reply:Plant about 6-8" deep; you can separate the corms so long as you leave a stem or eye with it. Dig up in fall and store in cool dry place. If you don't have deep frosts, you can leave them in the ground, in which case 8" deep would be better, just for good measure.
