Will they recover after i have snipped off their damaged leaves. The stalk of the plant looks great and nice and green, as well as some of their leaves. Is their a possibility that it will survive?

yeah, not a problem. The flowers that were damaged will be gone. However the plant will carry on flowering after it has recovered from the shock.
Just prune ( cut ) them back to nice clean healthy stems.
Also by pruning them down you will be encouraging branching of the plant which will give you more flowers anyway.
Reply:yes should be ok give them some miracle grow feed to help them on there way.
