The black dahlia???

i just watched that movie the other day. from what i understand, it is an unsolved murder. anyone know how much truth there is to what happened at the end? was that family actually suspected in the murder of that poor girl, or was that all just fluff to make the movie more interesting?

The black dahlia???
The movie is based on the 1987 James Ellroy novel by the same name. His theory of the events is just one of many. That's why his book is considered fiction. The movie, based on the book's account, is not a documentary. As you pointed out, the murder is still unsolved. Read the wikipedia account in the 1st link below to see details on the prevailing theories. The 2nd link below lists the 22 suspects the D.A. was investigating.
Reply:On my list as one of the most insipid movies of the past ten years.
Reply:The murder remains unsolved, and the characters were all made up for the book/movie (except for the murder victim, of course).

The book is much better than the movie.
